Delux Masquerade masks in Day of the Dead style
These new masks are so much fun to make! They are so bright and colorful with more “bling” than I normally use. The fabric flowers have many color layers that match the bright feather boquets behind them. For these, I literally pulled every feather I had in these colors (along with black and white). There are tons of Swarovski crystals to make it shine. Plus, those tiny skulls in the center of the flowers are so cute!
There are more pictures and descriptions over at my etsy store.

Custom Teal Day of the Dead Heart Masquerade Mask
I’m so pleased with this mask! Someone wanted a teal version of a pink masquerade mask in my etsy shop. The heart and flower pedals are a deep teal color with metallic paint and a top coat of glitter. There are 40 teal Swarovski crystals and 35+ feathers in various greens, blues, teals, white and black. I hope you like her as much as I do!
As always, custom masks can be worked out in my etsy store. I’m happy to work with you to make a truly one of a kind mask. :D
Stained glass inspired leather masquerade mask
All of these are hanging out over in my etsy store right now and I’m super pleased with how they came out. The bases of these masks are matte black and the designs are done in metallic paints.
We went to go see a William Beckett show last night and it was so much fun! He was incredibly nice and sat with us for a bit after his set. William was sweet enough to sign a few masks I had made loosely inspired by his music video for “Dear Life”. I handed off a personalized mask to him and he wore it for the rest of the night. Such a sweetheart. :D
Dear Life inspired mask made by a lovely and talented fan in Portland. #bestfansever #fanart
Wow! This looks so great on you! I really enjoyed making this one with the logo/initials in the web. It was a wonderful show and hanging out afterwards was a real treat. :D

Reverse metallic Day of the Dead designs
Here are a few of the reverse swirly designs done with shiny metallic paint over matte black. The effect is really cool! These three are hanging out in my etsy store and I hope to try this with other metallic paints.
Ragin’ Cajun ULL mask
Here is a recent mask I made with the colors, logo, and font of ULL’s (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) Ragin’ Cajuns. I especially love the slight gradient of the base and the font. Plus, that little pepper after Ragin is the perfect touch.
As always, my masks are made from 7oz vegetable tanned leather. They are hand cut, hand shaped, and hand painted by me. I’m happy to do custom masks, too! Please contact me over at my etsy store.
David Bowie inspired mask
Way back in October, I made a silver version of this mask and it sold within a day or so. Then I got overwhelmed with Day of the Dead mask orders, so this one got put on the backburner. Now I have a few of these bases cut out and I’d love to try a few different color combinations . This little guy is over in my etsy store if anyone is interested.
I hope you enjoy it!
